About Kate Flynn-Filippelli
Hi! I’m Kate Flynn-Filippelli, founder of KFF Advisory LLC, and an early careers expert with a passion for optimizing early career programs and opportunities for both companies and individuals. KFF Advisory was born out of well over a decade of in-house corporate early career recruitment, program management, strategy design, and implementation experience. I have dedicated my HR career to this niche because I have seen the life altering impacts that the right first opportunities can offer a young adult, and the long term impacts those individuals can have on organizations who choose to prioritize early career talent.
I’ve spent the majority of my career driving strategic early career hiring operations at some of the world’s leading organizations: Citi, White & Case LLP, Bridgewater Associates, Stifel Financial, and more. I’ve worked successfully with corporate leaders, hiring managers, internal stakeholders, and on-campus career partners, and I’ve worked with candidates ranging from undergraduates through terminal degree students. Although my passion for early careers eventually led me back to the space, I also took a several year hiatus from early careers where I worked on a strategic planning and data analytics team, experience that has helped to guide my data driven strategies and solutions focused work.
I hold a BA in Political Science and Russian Studies from Muhlenberg College, an MS in Human Resource Management & Organizational Effectiveness from Manhattanville University, and have been SHRM-CP Certified since 2016.
My career has taken me to 25+ states, the UK, and nearly 100 college campuses, but the NYC area always has and always will be my home. Born and raised in Staten Island, I am now based in Westchester County, NY where I live with my husband and daughter. When I am not working, you can usually find me planning a trip, coaching youth basketball, being a bird nerd, or cheering on the New York Knicks.
